Since we have so many things going on at and around school right now, I wanted to make sure I posted today so everyone was updated!
December 4 from 4-8pm: Family Fun Night at Barnes and Noble
December 7: Last day to bring in Toys for Tots donations (any toys donated must be new)
December 10-11: NWEA Testing; please make sure your child is in school and has a good rest and a good breakfast on these days especially! If your child will be absent, please let me know so I can make arrangements for a makeup testing session.
December 12: from 9:15-12:15: Yellowstone Art Museum field trip
December 14: Last day to bring in donations for Mighty Mac (a sheet about this fundraiser went home in Tuesday folders).
Math: We are working on decimal operations. We've done adding and subtracting, and now we are onto multiplying this week.
ELA: We started a new unit that connects our learning to different cultures around the world. We are still looking for the theme of the stories we are reading, and we are using context clues to figure out what unknown words mean in our reading.
Social Studies: Students finished their explorer timelines and we will have a quiz on this information at the end of the week (Thursday for Peter's class, Friday for Eagle's class). Make sure your student is studying his/her accordion timeline at home!
Hello from Arrowhead 5th grade! This is the website for Mrs. Peter's fifth graders. Look here for exciting news about what's happening at school as well as weekly updates about what's going on in class.
